Posted by on Mar 19, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

To our Current and Future Clients of Soho Urban Wax,   I am writing this notice with the utmost respect to the parents in our boutique.  I am a parent myself and understand that this can be a sensitive issue.  Moving forward, I will be implementing a new policy regarding children under 12 years of age and their presence in the boutique.  Children who visit the boutique during their parents’ appointments or children who are unattended in the waiting area pose a safety issue.  We...

Posted by on Jan 14, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

To All My Clients, aka ~ My loving friends:   Would you believe that it has been over five years since SoHo Urban Wax opened its doors in Islip? It is better that you make an appointment because I’d like to take my time with each client. I remember one “walk in” client that had come in for brows service and she was used to getting it done fast. For the record, my average brows service may takes up to 15 min and can go up to 20 min. Again it depends on the client. I don’t just wax your...

Tip me or Tip me not…”

Posted by on Feb 14, 2012 in blog | 0 comments

Wow… This is an awkward thing to blog about but I did promise to blog anything and everything that has been brought up and/or heard through the grapevine. Lets clear the air once and for all:) Tips are given to show appreciation and it is not mandatory. With that said, would I tip the owner? If the services were good and he/she is the person who is performing the services then “Yes” but if he/she is sitting at the counter then “No”. Again, that is my opinion. Please remember, tip me or tip me not…...
